1st XI Girls v. St. Kentigern

The 1^st XI Girls soccer team played St Kentigern’s College 1^st XI yesterday afternoon. With the wet weather and very sodden field it was always going to be a difficult game for both sides.

1st XI Girls v. Glendowie

The 1^st XI Girls soccer team played Glendowie College on Wednesday afternoon. The Glendowie team was made up of mainly Year 12 and 13 students and were a very fast and physical team.

1st XI Girls Soccer kicks off to a good start!

The 1^st XI Girls soccer team played their first game of the season on Wednesday against Avondale College. Traditionally, Avondale College has been a strength of girls soccer in Auckland, so this was always going to a tough first up challenge for the young Waiheke 1^st XI.

1st XI Girls Soccer - Whangerei Tournament

Last week the 1^st XI Girls soccer team travelled up to Whangarei for a nationwide soccer tournament. A number of very strong teams were there from the Auckland region and around the country. The team was drawn to play 7 games in four days against mostly premier league teams - it was always going to be a great challenge for our Waiheke High School team.

U15 v. Onehunga

The Waiheke girls under 15 soccer team played Onehunga yesterday afternoon in the Auckland Championship Finals. The team, who were undefeated this year, started the game on the front foot dominating possession and territory and were rewarded with a one nil lead at half time with a goal from Frith set up by a great pass from Tia.
